The note published with it follows a turn she names herself: from a seller too unsure to put a garment on the rack at 1,000 yuan, to a founder willing to say “I deserve it,” and to aim the house at 300 million yuan a year.

That aim sits just past a year already reported. In 2025, Mix Selection’s sales passed 250 million yuan. Three hundred million is the next mark the interview is willing to say out loud. It is a direction, not a figure already booked.

The description that travels with the film is blunt about the earlier life. Sixth of seven, in a family that prized sons. Meals taken on the doorstep. School reached on foot, and not always with enough to eat. A marriage that ended, and a period of depression that nearly closed the account. It follows her from the pavement outside luxury shops, where she did not feel entitled to walk in, to being received as a guest. The line left for the viewer is that a sense of worth is not handed over. It is earned.

The clothes are the quieter half of that sentence. A collar that sits cleanly, a size cut for a petite frame, a cloth that has to hold its line after wear. The interview is the public half: Huang saying the standard in a room, on a film anyone can play.
